Men's Soccer Loses 3-0 at SUNY Maritime

Throggs Neck, N.Y.— The John Jay men’s soccer team was defeated by SUNY Maritime 3-0 on Monday evening in a non conference matchup on the campus of SUNY Maritime.

With the loss John Jay is now 2-10-2 overall this season.

The host Privateers scored three first half goals to give themselves a three goal cushion that proved to be more than enough.

SUNY Maritime scored the first of three goals at the 5:40 marker, before scoring again at 21:30. The Privateers scored a final time at 29:39 en route to the win.

The Privateers outshot John Jay 15-10, including 10-5 in the first half.

John Jay got a team-high three shots from Christian Valdez (Guayaquil, Ecuador, Bushwick) and two more from Joceny Theresias (St. Louis-Du-Nord, Haiti, Metropolitan).

Chris Adao made five saves in net for the Bloodhounds.

John Jay is back in action on Sat. Oct. 17 for a game against Baruch College at 1 p.m.
