New York, N.Y. — The Mid Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced that John Jay College of Criminal Justice rifle team member
Jenna Hansen (Middletown, NY, Middletown) has been named the Air Rifle shooter of the month for the month of November 2009.
Hansen, a second year member of the team has had a tremendous season, which included a great November. In three matches last month she averaged a 560.3 in air rifle. She fired a 556 against the United States Naval Academy, a 564 at the University of the Sciences and a 561 at the United States Naval Academy.
This season as a whole, Hansen has averaged a 558.83, more than five points higher than her total last year.
The team’s assistant captain was a member of the 2008-09 MAC All-Academic team, maintaining a 3.88 grade point average.
The John Jay rifle team returns to action on Sat. Feb. 6 in Philadelphia, Pa. against Loyola, Indiana Univ. of Pa., and the United States Military Academy.
