New York, N.Y. — One day removed from winning the Big Apple Championship for the second year in a row, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice rifle team defeated Hofstra University in smallbore 2151-1329 at the Mitchell Sports Complex on Sunday.

Stephen Wilson fired a team-high 564 in the win, while fellow teammate Stephen Zawislak shot a 560. Jenna Hansen blasted a 533 and Janet Pepple totaled a 494.

John Jay returns to action next in 2010 when they shoot at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Pa. on Feb. 6.
