Women's Swimming Loses at Baruch

New York, N.Y.— The John Jay women’s swimming team was defeated on the road as the Bloodhounds lost to Baruch College 104-82 at Baruch’s ARC Arena.

John Jay is now 4-5 (2-3 CUNYAC).

Rose Edelman picked up a win the 100 meter breaststroke (1:33.40), while Justyna Maksimiuk (Sunnyside, NY, Brooklyn Tech) was a winner in the 50 meter freestyle (31.13).

Kaili Insalaco (Palm Coast, FL, Flagler Palm Coast) finished third in the 50 meter freestyle (33.65).

Johanna McLaughlin (New York, NY, Beacon School) finished second in the 100 meter butterfly (1:34.33).

In the 400 meter freestyle, Kaili Insalaco finished in a final time of 6:01.41, while Billie Jean Kuppler (Long Island City, NY, Long Island City)finished in 6:55.45. Amanda Garcia (Astoria, NY, St. John's Prep) did the 400 meter freestyle in 7:08.64.

John Jay is back in action on Wed. Jan. 20 for a home meet against the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 6 p.m.
