New York, N.Y.— The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) has announced that John Jay men’s basketball player
Darryl Dennis (Valley Stream, NY, Valley Stream) has been named the conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending Jan. 17.
Dennis had a solid game in the Bloodhounds’ lone contest on the schedule, a conference match with CUNYAC rival, Brooklyn College on January 13. Against Brooklyn, Dennis registered a career-high 22 points (on 8-for-17 shooting), had seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Dennis and the Bloodhounds return to action on Wed. Jan. 20 at the College of Staten Island at 7:30 p.m.
