Flushing, N.Y.— The John Jay men’s tennis team, the No. 3 seed defeated No. 6 seed York College 5-0 on Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the 2010 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) men’s tennis championship at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

The Bloodhounds quickly won their doubles matches 8-2, 8-2 and 8-0 at No’s. 1, 2 and 3 respectively before Dong Shao (Flushing, NY, Patchogue-Medford) won at No. 2 singles and Ben Jorgensen (New York, NY, Wooster) at No. 4 to clinch the match.

John Jay will now face Hunter College, the No. 2 seed in a semifinal round match at the National Tennis Center at 7 p.m.
