The John Jay College of Criminal Justice baseball team will conduct open tryouts for position players at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday September 14, and for pitchers on Thursday September 16. Tryouts will be conducted in the main gymnasium located on the fourth floor of Haaran Hall at 899 Tenth Avenue. In order to try out you MUST have PROOF OF A PHYSICAL from a physician clearing you to participate. You must come dressed to play baseball, this includes baseball pants, baseball hat and sneakers (since the tryout is indoors, no cleates are allowed). New York, N.Y.— It seems like it was just yesterday that John Jay College of Criminal Justice baseball alumnus James DeCesare (’08) and John Dobkowski (’08) were leading the Bloodhounds to some of the winningest seasons in school history along with a City University of New York Athletic Conference championship in 2007.
